GALNT19 was reported by Nakamura (Kurosaka). This isozyme belongs to the Y-subfamily, together with T8, T9 and T18. This does not exhibit significant enzyme activity, probably an activator or regulator for other ppGalNAcTs (Li et al. 2012).
