CHST4

Last Update:2021-12-10

CHST4 encodes carbohydrate (N-acetylglucosamine-6-O) sulfotransferase 4. This enzyme has GlcNAc6ST enzymatic activity, which transfers sulfate to the 6-position of GlcNAc at the non-reducing end. CHST4 is specifically expressed in high endothelial venules (HEVs) and is involved in the biosynthesis of 6-sulfo sLeX, a major L-selectin ligand.
