CHST13

Last Update:2021-12-10

CHST13 encodes carbohydrate (chondroitin 4) sulfotransferase 13. This enzyme has C4ST activity to transfer sulfate to position 4 of GalNAc in the chondroitin sulfate biosynthesis. In human, there are three isoenzymes (CHST11, CHST12, CHST13). CHST13 mRNA is particularly highly expressed in adult liver, followed by adult kidney, lymph nodes, and fetal liver.
