ST3GAL2 |
Last Update:2016-01-29 |
ST3GAL2, β-galactoside α-2,3-sialyltransferase 2, transfers sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to the Galβ1→3GalNAc-R as an acceptor substrate, which are found in glycolipids, such as GM1 and GD1b. ST3GAL2 is also known as SIAT4B. ST3GAL2 is highly expressed in mouse brain and ST3GAL2-deficient mice show decrease of GD1a and GT1b.
