ST3GAL4 |
Last Update:2016-01-29 |
ST3GAL4, β-galactoside α-2,3-sialyltransferase 4, transfers sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to the Galβ1→3GalNAc/Galβ1→4GlcNAc-R on glycoproteins. ST3GAL4 is also known as STZ, ST3O/N, ST-4 or SIAT4C. ST3GAL4-deficient mice presented reduction in plasma von Willebrand factor and suggest that ST3GAL4 is involved in platelet clearance through the Ashwell receptor.
