ST6GALNAC2 |
Last Update:2016-01-29 |
ST6GALNAC2, N-acetylgalactosaminide α-2,6-sialyltransferase 2, transfers sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to the Galβ1→3GalNAc-Ser/Thr structure on glycoproteins, such as fetuin and asialo-fetuin. ST6GALNAC2 is also called as SIAT7B. ST6GALNAC2 can utilize Galβl→3GalNAc-Ser/Thr and NeuAcα2→3Galβ1→3GalNAc-Ser/Thr as acceptor substrates.
