ST6GALNAC3 |
Last Update:2016-01-29 |
ST6GALNAC3, N-acetylgalactosaminide α-2,6-sialyltransferase 3, transfers sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to the NeuAcα2→3Galβ1→3GalNAc-Ser/Thr structure on glycoproteins such as fetuin. GM1b ganglioside, NeuAcα2→3Galβ1→3GalNAcβ1→4Galβ1→4Glc-Cer, is also a good substrate for ST6GALNAC3. ST6GALNAC3 is also called as STY or SIAT7C.
