ST6GALNAC4 |
Last Update:2016-01-29 |
ST6GALNAC4, N-acetylgalactosaminide α-2,6-sialyltransferase 4, transfers sialic acid from CMP-sialic acid to the NeuAcα2→3Galβ1→3GalNAc-R structure on glycoproteins such as fetuin but not asialofetuin. ST6GALNAC4 is also called as SIAT7D and SIAT3C. ST6GALNAC4 is a candidate enzyme to synthesize disialy-T structures, NeuAcα2→3Galβ1→3(NeuAcα2→6)GalNAc-Ser/Thr in O-glycans.
