GCNT4 |
Last Update:2016-05-20 |
GCNT4 is a glucosaminyl (N-acetyl) transferase 4, core 2, which transfers GlcNAc from UDP-GlcNAc to the C6 position of GalNAc in core 1 O-glycan structure, synthesizing core 2 structure similar to GCNT1. GCNT4 is also known as C2GNT3. GCNT4 is highly expressed in thymus, suggesting its roles in T-cell development and lymphocyte trafficking.
