SLC35C1

Last Update:2017-12-11

SLC35C1 encodes a GDP-fucose transporter that is localized in the Golgi membrane. It is also known as FUCT1. The encoded protein has multiple membrane-spanning regions. GDP-fucose is transported into the Golgi lumen and used as a glycosyl donor for glycan synthesis. Mutation of SLC35C1 is associated with congenital disorder of glycosylation type 2C.
