SLC35D1

Last Update:2017-12-12

SLC35D1 encodes a UDP-glucuronic acid (UDP-GlcA)/UDP-N-acetylgalactosamine (UDP-GalNAc) transporter with dual substrate specificity that is localized in the Golgi membrane. It is also known as UGTREL7. The encoded protein has multiple membrane-spanning regions. UDP-GlcA and UDP-GalNAc are transported into the Golgi lumen and used as a glycosyl donor for glycan synthesis.
