SLC35B4

Last Update:2017-12-11

SLC35B4 encodes a UDP-xylose/UDP-N-acetylgalactosamine transporter with dual substrate specificity that is localized in the Golgi membrane. It is also known as YEA4. The encoded protein has multiple membrane-spanning regions. UDP-xylose and UDP-N-acetylglucosamine are transported into the Golgi lumen and used as a glycosyl donor for glycan synthesis.
